Strong performances from Island Clubs.
Isle of Wight rowing clubs were ably represented at Henley Fours and Eights Head last week. The event provided a welcome opportunity for the IOW Forum Performance programme, comprising the most talented young rowers on the Island, to test themselves against some of the best crews in the country. New Coastal Scull naming ceremony
Rowing members and their families gathered at SSRC on Friday evening for the naming ceremony of the new Coastal Scull. Klark Phelan named the scull in memory of his brother Kev, who had moved to Shanklin to be close to Klark and his family, and from his flat on the sea front liked nothing better than to watch his nephew and nieces, Theo, Scarlett and Mia,rowing on the sea at Shanklin.
