Sun, Sea and some big waves at Southsea!
The hottest day of the year so far saw SSRC crews arrive at Southsea Regatta to very choppy water and the news that their boat “The Spyglass “ had been damaged in transit. Sun shines on Newport regatta
Shanklin Sandown rowing club had four crews compete at Newport regatta on Saturday with the ever improving Mens novice four of Kevin Faithfull, Sam Evans-Murray, Thomas Ashley, Andrew Tapsell & Daisy Faithfull come agonisingly close to securing their first win. Success for Shanklin at Swanage and Reading
Shanklin Sandown rowing club secured an excellent eight wins over two regattas last weekend. The club enjoyed success at Swanage on Saturday where the Men’s junior four of George Glenister, Jamie Gamble, Riley Horrix, Ethan Walters and Emily Faithfull won in fine style to take their fourth point of the Hants & Dorset season and also increased the club’s lead in the Men’s Junior pairs with another win for Glenister and Gamble.
