Blustery day at BTC regatta!

The Men’s Junior four moved within one point of the Hants & Dorset championship after recording their sixth win of the season at BTC’s regatta run at Weston Shore last weekend.

The crew of Arlo, Carter, Louis , Fred and Esme, after qualifying from their heat, led from the start in the final and following an excellent turn stretched their lead out to two lengths to take the victory. The crew will now have a chance to secure the championship over the same course at the beginning of next month.

There was a third successive win for Fred in the Men’s Junior sculls. There was a three-way tie going into the buoys with Fred finding himself in third place after the turn , however, he regained the lead in the last 300m to claim the win and his third point in the championship.

The master’s ladies crew of Lisa A, Stella, Lisa R, Jane and Esme enjoyed a good row to the turn but struggled in the blustery conditions on the return leg from the buoys to finish in fifth spot.
