First Hants & Dorset regatta since 2019!!

Shanklin took three crews to Swanage for the first H&D regatta for nearly two years, for the start of the 2021 season.

We had two crews experiencing side by side racing for the first time, the girl's J16 quad of Fauve Hooper-Phelps, Beth Katewira, Frances Katewira, Damia Robert & Yas Wright put in an excellent debut performance to take second place, narrowly beaten by Southsea.

Th e Boy’s J16 quad of Arlo Adds, Ashton Shuttleworth, Ollie Hatch, Ben Smith & Kayleigh Batchelor also racing side by side for the first time finished a creditable fourth.

The Junior Ladies crew of Roxy Browne, Yas Wright, Kayleigh Batchelor, Sophie Atkin & Jane Bailey took a comfortable heat win and were well in contention at the turn before losing ground on eventual winners BTC to finish fourth.
