A huge thank you to all those who helped get our regatta, up and running, on Saturday. Unfortunately, racing had to be cancelled due to the tough conditions.

However thank you to all our sponsors, our safety teams from Sandown Shanklin Lifeboat, Wight Water, Shanklin Sailing Club and our own team of launch drivers. Plus all those who

helped with cooking in the kitchen, serving the refreshments in the gym, the BBQ cooks and the bar staff. There are far too many to mention but it was a superb club effort, with

all members coming together to show off our club in its 150th year! Thank you everyone.

Shout out to the Boys J16 Quad of James, Sam, Isaac, Fin and Esme (cox), and Senior scullers, Fred and Alex who battled it out in some challenging conditions to come away with first, second and fourth respectively.

Despite the disappointment of the main event being cancelled, an impromptu Beach Sprints mini-regatta quickly took shape led by Lucy Hart, GB Beach Sprint Pathway Coach. We had three wins from Annabelle, Josh, and Martha.
