Rowers send Christmas shoeboxes to Ukraine & Moldova.

Many Shanklin rowing members contributed to filling 24 shoeboxes to be sent to children as part of the annual Rotary appeal. Shoeboxes are sent to various countries in Central and Eastern Europe, with a recent emphasis on supporting displaced children in Ukraine via Poland. Other countries that receive the boxes include Romania, Moldova, Montenegro, and Albania. The gifts are delivered to disadvantaged children and families, including those in orphanages, hospitals, and homeless shelters. 

Shanklin Rotary Club President , Lyn Fleming, received the shoeboxes, and they have now

been sent off to the youngsters. Thank you to all members who gave to this worthwhile project.
