Shanklin win 8 events at Itchen Junior Regatta

The last Hants & Dorset Regatta of the season was specifically for Junior oarsmen and women and was hosted by Itchen Imperial Rowing Club at their club in Southampton.

Competition was fierce with a record number of entries from most of the clubs and our Juniors rowed and sculled superbly to come away with 8 gold medals in the following categories:

Boys J14 1x ,Girls J14 1x Girls J16 1x

Boys J12/13 2x Boys J14 2x Girls J15 2x

Boys J14 Quad Girls J14 Quad

Despite the miserable weather which brightened up eventually in the afternoon, all competitors raced well, some single sculling for the first time. We were narrowly beaten

by Lymington in the overall aggregate trophy.
